The Okkie Jooste Camp

The bus ride was not that long which was good but we had this weird visitor who felt the need to tell us how to camp. Who does that?? BUT Lets just make it clear that this camp was pretty awesome. Despite the fact that it was supposed to be my birthday weekend and I had other plans which I had to cancel. A decision I thought I would regret but I couldn't have asked for a better way to spend it. With the people closest to me... and some new people too :)

 

I could go on and on about how great it was BUT a cold shower the next day was not part of my plans and I woke up on my first alarm -_- ...
And clearly some people just couldn't wait to test out the bunks on our first talk...

I took what would seem like a cruel picture of a dead mouse but I must admit my photography skills really came out in this one, I mean look at the sun rise in the background.

sighs...*** Then there was Donovan and Denzil, the funniest guys ever and the best cooks (after my grandma and my mom of course). The bread Donovan makes is like woah, melt in your mouth kind of bread. So soft and crunchy in all the right places lol. But they fed us too much carbs, I promise everyone was constipated. 
However myself, Jodene, Erin, Min-ghah and Sifa  OBVIOUSLY had the party room because we just have that POSITIVE ENERGY (haha Brandon you and your negative energy vibes). Then there was the talent show which I didn't sign up for myself  but the poem I read was quite fitting, about being friends and how important that is.
What was more important though is that I'm a Biotechnology student but I must say nature makes me want to change and be all BIODIVERSITY AND CONSERVATION like. Really though nature is beautiful. I only realized how much I should appreciate it once I was in it for a whole four days only to realize once again that I'm actually in it every day.
